Microneedling

Microneedling, also referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a cosmetic procedure which uses tiny needles to rejuvenate skin. The treatment is a form of controlled skin injury directed at stimulating the growth of healthy new skin. Microneedling tools are comprised of small needles (most commonly penetrating 0.5 mm – 3.5 mm) that gently puncture the skin and create small wounds. These wounds are nearly imperceptible, but your skin recognizes the damage and the need to heal itself. Collagen production is stimulated resulting in firmer, brighter, smoother skin.

Microneedling can help improve the appearance and texture of your skin. It is also an effective treatment to minimize:

  • Acne Scars

  • Pores

  • Cellulite

  • Scars (Injury or Surgery)

  • Fine Lines

  • Stretch Marks

  • Pigmentation

  • Wrinkles

  • Pockmarks

Unlike some facial rejuvenation procedures that use heat, light or lasers, microneedling does not carry the risk of skin discoloration. This makes microneedling ideal for people of all skin types. Individuals who easily scar, are pregnant, have rosacea or eczema should NOT chose microneedling as a treatment option. Individual results may vary from patient to patient.
